These resources are intended for medical researchers who are seeking to understand the initial steps of translating their solution; to have real-world impact and positively impact the human condition. These organisations/initiatives typically have an accompanying newsletter or mailing list. Please sign up to stay informed and increase your familiarity with the ecosystem. CSIRO ON Prime

ON Prime is a free program designed to help research teams of two to six people take their projects to the next level through customer discovery activities and more. They work with researchers at any stage of their project across all disciplines. During the nine weeks of ON Prime, you will develop a deeper understanding of the people who could benefit the most from your research and sharpen skills to communicate with that audience.


Bridge/BridgeTech Program

The Bridge/BridgeTech Program is a national professional development program that trains researchers and entrepreneurs on how to effectively navigate the commercialisation pathway. Convened and administered by QUT, the program involves a consortium of partners including companies, universities, and industry associations. The program provides specific training on the scientific, legal, financial, clinical, regulatory and reimbursement disciplines that are essential to medical technology commercialisation. Bridge Program focuses on pharmaceutical development, while BridgeTech Program focuses on medical devices.


Cicada Innovations

Established in 2000, Cicada Innovations supports visionary deep tech innovators to validate, commercialise and scale high impact technologies globally. Supported by our four esteemed shareholders – ANU, UNSW, USYD and UTS – we bring together the best minds in science, industry, and business, to nurture companies that are making a difference where it matters most.


Medtech Actuator 

The MedTech Actuator was founded in 2018 by serial entrepreneurs and health policy experts who understood that the medical technology commercialisation ecosystem requires a bespoke program of support for researchers. The Menzies Scholarship and Origin programs are better suited to those with an early-stage idea or interest in commercialisation.


MedTeCCH

MedTeCCH is the Hunter Central Coast’s MedTech & Pharmaceuticals (MTP) industry cluster. Established and managed by Regional Development Australia (RDA) Hunter, MedTeCCH is industry-led and working to identify and address industry and Health challenges locally. It represents and coordinates the Hunter Central Coast’s diverse and sophisticated MTP cluster and acts as a catalyst to achieving real, commercial outcomes and economic growth.

MedTeCCH produce a phenomenal weekly newsletter summarising events, opportunities and news in the ecosystem.


BioMelbourne Network

BioMelbourne Network is an industry-led membership association for organisations engaged in biotechnology, medical technology, and health innovation in the state of Victoria. Our role is to foster links between companies, research organisations, financial markets, and government, creating an environment for greater collaboration and prosperity. Although focused on Victoria, their newsletter and events are informative to anyone in Australia and beyond.

EndPoints is a news organisation that is focused specifically on the medical commercialisation space and produce daily newsletters that can be tailored to your interest areas.
