We’re proud to celebrate the success of researchers from our Westmead Research Hub partners who were awarded ARC Discovery Project grants this week.
Special congratulations to Professor Hilda Pickett and Professor Tony Cesare from Children’s Medical Research Institute, whose work on DNA repair and cell death is advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes.
They join other outstanding researchers from the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Medicine and Health, including Dr Matthew Doyle, Professor Anthony Don, Dr Justin Wong, Professor David Handelsman, and Professor Edward Holmes, whose projects span superbugs, neuroscience, immune cell formation, and virus discovery.
These achievements reflect the strength of collaboration across our precinct and the impact of our shared research mission.
